Synopsis / Sinopsis

Kenya is the world's largest exporter of flowers. However, instead of seeing the profits of this multi-billion dollar business, Kenyans are imprisoned by an industry that can be shockingly exploitative. Part poetry, part explosive exposé, A BLOOMING BUSINESS is a personal and humane look at the devastating offenses of the flower industry in a ravaged Kenyan town.

Kenya e lider mondial în exportul de flori, o afacere de miliarde de dolari, din care populaţia locală nu se alege, din păcate, cu cine ştie ce profit. În industria cultivării şi exportului de flori, exploatarea oamenilor atinge dimensiuni şocante. Filmul abordează într-o notă personală efectele devastatoare ale industriei florilor asupra unui oraş kenyan, îmbinând poezia cu o radiografiere frustă a realităţii.
