ROMANIAN DOCUMENTARY,
20 YEARS AFTER

Astra Film Sibiu organizes during its Astra Film Festival 2009 a special program dedicated to the last two decades of Romanian documentary. The program is designed for professionals, and consists of presentations made by organizations involved in the domestic documentary film production, and roundtable discussions.

Astra Film Sibiu organizeaza în cadrul Astra Film Festival 2009 un program special dedicat bilanţului ultimelor două decenii de documentar românesc. Vor avea loc dezbateri şi mese rotunde rezervate profesioniştilor, care vor reuni cineaşti, critici, directori şi programatori de festivaluri, regizori, producători din România.

Prezentarea organizaţiilor, programelor şi initiativelor din Romania, legate de filmul documentar românesc (maximum 10 minute cu intrebari pentru fiecare vorbitor).

The presentations will be followed by an open discussion on the topic The Romanian documentary, whereto?
Prezentările vor fi urmate de o discuţie în plen, pe tema Documentarul românesc, încotro?

Due to our focus on the Eastern European and Romanian production, the ASTRA FILM archive holds a unique collection of documentaries documenting the issues of post-communism and transition in the region.
