Synopsis / Sinopsis

In Europe, the ’90 were marked by the conflicts which tore appart Yugoslavia, and which generated numberless personal tragedies alog the process. Among them, that of Luce, whose son was killed in Albania. More than 90% of the mothers in her situation would have sought revenge. Instead, Luce chose the way of forgiveness. Whatever the reasons of her choice, this attitude helped the man who had killed her son to find his way to redemption. Today he is absolved, he is accepted by society, and he considers the woman who had the power to forgive him for murdering her son as his mother. As for Luce, she has found her vocation: she can act as a mediator, and bring peace to those who, same as herself, have lost someone dear during those absurd conflicts.

În Europa, anii 90 au fost marcaţi de conflictele care au dus la dezmembrarea Iugoslaviei şi care au provocat nenumărate tragedii personale. Una dintre ele a fost cea a lui Luce, al cărei fiu a fost ucis în Albania. Aproape toate mamele aflate în situaţia ei ar fi căutat răzbunare. Luce a ales o altă cale, calea iertării. A avut varii motive să procedeze astfel şi, datorită comportamentului ei, cel care i-a ucis fiul a găsit drumul către izbăvire. Astăzi, el duce o viaţă obişnuită şi e acceptat de societate. Femeia care a avut puterea să îl ierte pentru uciderea fiului ei este ca o mamă pentru el. În ceea ce o priveşte pe Luce, ea şi-a găsit vocaţia, pentru că a descoperit că are puterea de a aduce pace în sufetul celor care, ca şi ea, au pierdut pe cineva apropiat în timpul absurdelor conflicte ale acelor ani.
