Synopsis / Sinopsis

They live on the water and they struggle to preserve their lifestyle against all odds. A Frisian family of skippers spend their days loading, shipping, and unloading cargo to different places. They lead a lonely life, and the „skutsjesilen”, a famous sailing competition in the Dutch province of Friesland, is one of the connections they keep with the old traditions.

Trăiesc pe apă şi se străduiesc să-şi păstreze vechiul stil de viaţă, în ciuda tuturor provocărilor vieţii moderne. O familie de navigatori îşi petrece viaţa încărcînd, transportînd şi descărcînd mărfuri. O viaţă singuratică, marcată de cîteva momente importante, precum „skutsjesilen”, un concurs pentru ambarcaţiuni celebru în Frizia. Este unul dintre momentele care îi ajută să nu uite vechile tradiţii la care ţin atît de mult.
