Synopsis / Sinopsis
Vlado Sendrei is a musician. He is also an activist. He organizes community activities. He is a singer and an agent for a Gypsy music band. He is also a former football player and coaches the local team. One day, they get an invitation to a tournament in Serbia. The event is a protest against racism, therefore the invited teams must be multiethnical. One of the players is David, a young man of Romani origin, whose father – a former guitar player – sold his instrument and his golden jewels in order to pay for his son’s journey, and for a pair of sport shoes. Finally, the team is ready to set off. The young football players (childred coming from orphanages and from juvenile penitenciaries) are about to experience the journey of their lives. The author travels along, exploring the effects of racism, as well as possible ways to fight against it.
