Synopsis / Sinopsis

Beauty and cruelty, lullaby and hatred, compassion and cold-blooded murder, women and extreme violence – they all meet behind the bars of an Israeli jail. The film reveals the lives of women who serve time in prison for involvement in terrorist attacks in Israel. Intimate portraits filmed over the course of two years uncover the motivations behind the actions of these women. The viewer gets to know their daily routine, as well as major moments in their lives, when their innocent children are born; he shares their pain when they talk about their husbands who abandoned them, and he will definitely be by them when they confront prison life challenges. The films tells a whole lot about religion, ideology, discrimination, despair, family, shame, and redemption.

În spatele gratiilor unei închisori din Israel se împletesc frumuseţea şi cruzimea, cântecul de leagăn şi ura, mila şi crima comisă cu sânge rece, feminitatea şi violenţa extremă. Ne sunt dezvăluite vieţile femeilor încarcerate pentru implicare în atacuri teroriste, prin portrete intime filmate în decursul a doi ani. Aflăm despre motivaţiile lor pentru faptele comise, despre rutina zilelor de de puşcărie şi despre evenimente majore din viaţa lor, precum naşterea unui copil. Cînd vorbesc despre soţii care le-au abandonat, le înţelegem durerea şi, cu siguranţă, le vom fi alături atunci când se vor confrunta cu problemele vieţii din închisoare. Un film despre religie, ideologie, discriminare, disperare, familie, ruşine şi pocăinţă.
