Synopsis / Sinopsis

Boulevards is the place where anyone practicing prostitution in Geneva, regularly or occasionally, can come for counselling or simply for talks. Three days a week, these people are received by social workers, nurses and cultural mediators. The film is an audiovisual review, conducted by a film director with the Sociology Department the University of Geneva. The result of two months field work, among sex workers, the documentary presents their stories and opinions, as well as their interaction with the workers in community health, whose objective is the mitigation of health and social problems caused by prostitution and drug consumption.

Boulevards este locul unde pot veni, pentru consiliere sau pur şi simplu pentru discuţii, toate persoanele care practică prostituţia, regulat sau ocazional, în Geneva. Trei zile pe săptămână, aceşti oameni sunt primiţi de lucrători sociali, asistente şi mediatori culturali. Filmul este o cercetare audiovizuală, realizată de regizor în cadrul Departamentului de Sociologie al Universităţii din Geneva. Rezultat a două luni de muncă pe teren, printre lucrătorii sexuali, documentarul prezintă poveştile şi părerile acestora, precum şi interacţiunile lor cu lucrătorii de la sănătatea comunitară, al căror obiectiv este reducerea problemelor sanitare şi sociale generate de prostituţie şi de consumul de droguri.
