Synopsis / Sinopsis
In 1982, 26 prodigious children (23 boys and three girls) were accepted in the exclusive Natural Science School of the Soviet Union. They had a great future ahead: they were to become leading researchers and scientists, members of the Soviet elite. Five years later, however, the Perestroika sweeps the young graduates of the special class in the maelstrom of history, and disperses them in different parts of the world. Director Ekaterina Eremenko was then one of them. More than two decades later, she departs from Germany (her new homeland), in search of her former class-mates. Some of them are in Russia, others in the U.S.A., Switzerland, England etc. Can the laws of physics explain the paths of man or is our existence governed by mere relativity? In order to find an answer, the author chooses not to hide behind her camera. Quite the opposite, she is present all along to share her story and her opinions in this personal and touching documentary.
