Synopsis / Sinopsis
In the small town Brod from western Macedonia, there is an old church dedicated to Saint Nicholas (also known as H’d’r Baba). The different communities in the village come to church to pray, all in the same day. The Orthodox Christians are followed by the Bektashi, the Halveti, and the Sunni Muslims. Everybody in the village agree that the church belongs to them all, and that every community is entitled to use it. This ethnologic documentary carries an optimistic message by showing that understanding and tolerance are possible between various ethnic (Macedonians, Albanians, Turks and Roma) and religious communities (Christians and Muslims) living together.
