| In the remote Spanish village of Riofrio the women have left years ago. Only men are left without the slightest possibility to find a relationship. Not bearing the disastrous situation any longer, they organize a busload of single women to come from Madrid into their loneliness. Their ideal aim is to fall in love! But having never learned how to deal with women, beside their mothers and some motorway prostitute, the event goes terribly wrong. Waiting for Women is a heart-warming documentary about love and solitude, about gender, migration and hope. |
În izolatul sat spaniol Riofrio, bărbaţii sunt lipsiţi de posibilitatea de a avea relaţii cu sexul opus, deoarece de ani buni femeile sunt plecate în alte zări. Nemaisuportând situaţia, sătenii aranjează sosirea unui autobuz plin cu femei singure de la Madrid. Fiecare dintre ei visează să se îndrăgostească şi să-şi schimbe viaţa. Marea lor problemă e că nu ştiu să se poarte cu femeile, căci până acum au acum au avut de-a face doar cu mamele lor şi cu câteva prostituate de pe autostradă. Aşa se face că lucrurile nu se desfăşoară deloc aşa cum plănuiseră ei. Un documentar amuzant şi totodată înduioşător, despre dragoste şi singurătate, relaţiile dintre sexe, migrare şi speranţa care refuză să moară.
