Synopsis / Sinopsis

The film is a trip behind the scenes of the Romanian wedding industry, on the thin line between art and kitsch. In the foreground, a series of photographers, cameramen and singers, from Sibiu to Iasi, from Piatra Neamt to Bucharest. From the now classic photos – to the well in the central city park – to eccentric photographs – on the football camp – to cheesy scenes, with strikingly coloured credits and ridiculous messages, or more elegant filming, with no flashy trinkets. Everybody tries to offer the weds the same, in their own vision, the perfect memory of an unforgettable day. Life stories, work styles, forgotten or parallel crafts. A exceptionally funny film, about people looking for perfection and the often hilarious results.

Filmul este o călătorie în culisele industriei nunţilor româneşti, pe graniţa alunecoasă dintre artă şi kitsch. În prim plan, o serie de fotografi, cameramani şi cântăreţi, de la Sibiu la Iaşi, de la Piatra Neamţ la Bucureşti. De la fotografiile devenite deja clasice – la fântâna arteziană sau în parcul din centrul oraşului -, la unele mai noncoformiste – pe stadion -, de la imagini dulcege, cu generice agresiv colorate şi sloganuri ridicole, la filmări mai rafinate, lipsite de dichisurile stridente. Toţi protagoniştii încearcă să le ofere mirilor acelaşi lucru, în propria viziune: amintirea perfectă a unei zile de neuitat. Poveşti de viaţă, stiluri de lucru, meserii abandonate sau meserii paralele. Un film deosebit de amuzant, despre oameni care caută perfecţiunea şi despre rezultatele adesea hilare.
