ASTRA FILM Studio produces documentaries, videos, and photograph exhibitions based on material from its own archives. The Studio manages a visual data base of the recordings made during research, and owns a documentary film collection of more than 3,500 titles. The collection of documentary and anthropological films is unique in the Central&Eastern European region, and it fills a gap in the local and national media offer. It consists of the best productions of the past ten years in the field of the documentary and anthropological film from all over the world, as well as of a number of classics of the documentary film. The films in the collection are valuable research material for academics and students in social sciences and documentary filmmaking, as well as training material for university and high-school students. There is also a significant segment of general public, who is interested in the good-quality documentary film.
