Jasmin is rooted in the cultures of two countries, Finland and Somalia. Will she be able to create an inner bridge between her two countries of origin which are so different from each other?
The effects of racial discrimination have also left their mark on the fate of Jasmin, a black girl from Finland, who has to leave the place where she was born, raised and made friends to join her extended family in Hargeysa, the Somali capital. The constant longing for her first home on the European continent and her best friend is no obstacle to adapting to the new geographical and cultural reality on the other side of the world and creating new friendships with understanding and acceptance.
Recommended for children who want to understand the relocation process and the effects of war and racial discrimination.
This film is shown together with another film for the price of one screening. Please check the programme.
