Banana bunches and papaya fruit picked and transported on wooden scooters? Fish caught at night with a net the size of a football pitch? Jimmmy and Sabato from Rwanda are the protagonists of these adventures.
Jimmy and Sabato live a happy life in a fishing village on the shores of the most beautiful lake on the African continent, Lake Kiwu in Rwanda, although they face all sorts of problems such as lack of electricity or having to climb banana trees every day to get basic food from this part of the world. Jimmy works side by side with his family and his inseparable friend Sabato is his constant helper. One of their favourite activities is fishing with the adults and they take this task very seriously. With the money they earn from selling the fish they catch they manage to help their families and buy bicycles. They know and catch several species of fish, but their favourite is a delicacy from East Africa - the small sambaza fish, which they can only catch with their nets at night!
