Daniela David, a former national boxing champion, now coaches children and gives us an insider's perspective on women's boxing in Romania.
Dana talks with emotion and nostalgia about her former career as a professional sportswoman, but also about what it means to succeed in boxing as a woman. She is still grateful to her recently deceased coach who encouraged her to never give up. Today, the atmosphere in the training gym is electric and several girls are learning to box from Dana. A sense of solidarity emerges between the director and her character, in a film about women fighting for a place and a career in a sport which is still considered a man’s world.
