From caring for young children's food education to meeting their basic needs, this movie introduces us to the world of teachers and researchers from three different parts of the world who are concerned about healthy growth in a sustainable environment.
A school in the south of France, out of a need to educate its pupils, has concluded that it is healthier to grow their own produce, fulfilling the canteen's need and making children truly understand the needs of nature. A school in Malmö (Sweden) emphasizes carbon reduction when it comes to the food it produces for students. On the other side of the world, in Brazil, a healthy and fair diet is trying to right some of society's wrongs in the fight against obesity and to attract children to school. The movie offers models of success in education, nutrition and business.
This documentary is part of the "Junior Weekend" program of special screenings and is addressed to all those interested (teenagers, parents, teachers, educational counselors, etc.) in sustainable alternatives when it comes to school nutrition.
