Exploitation and isolation. What Does It Mean to Be a 24/7 caregiver in Austria?
The documentary "24 Hours" features Sadina, a woman from Vulcan, who dedicates her entire day to the uninterrupted care of Elisabeth, an elderly austrian woman who is bedridden. Although it is demanding work, involving activities such as feeding, bathing, and changing diapers, Sadina often finds solace in brief moments of respite, whether it's enjoying a cigarette under the sun or making video calls with friends. The documentary highlights the dangers and exploitative conditions faced by the 40,000 Romanian caregivers in Austria.
