Many teenagers go through at least one stage where they feel awkward, where they don't fit in, don't fit in or don't know how to manage their emotions and feelings.
We are at Østerskov Boarding, one of the world's unique role-playing schools, where classes are conducted to help children deal with the traumas, disorders or syndromes that affect them in their everyday life. The results are hard work, but young people enjoy the comfort of taking on the reactions and behaviors behind a character. It all seems to have a catharsis effect in this emotional process in which teenagers come to discover themselves and liberate themselves with the help of the programs they get involved in and the teachers. We look closely at three cases to better understand what young people go through in the process, how things evolve over two years and how teachers manage the process.
The documentary is part of the "Educator Profession" program, initiated in appreciation to teachers and educational counselors for their support in facilitating students' access to audiovisual content provided by Astra Film Junior.
