Giovanni's dream is to be the first boy to compete at the national synchronized swimming championships - a discipline on the borderline between art and sport - and he's training hard for it. Will he be able to compete with the girls?
Giovanni, a 10-year-old boy from the Netherlands, has been training for four years to be accepted in a competition currently only open to girls - artistic swimming. Nothing can make him give up his dream: not the preconceptions circulating in society, not the teasing of his schoolmates, not even the excitement he goes through before the qualifiers. Together with his supportive girlfriend Kim, he philosophizes about relationships and the importance of being yourself and doing what you love.
