A minimalist documentary that deals with the complexities of the war in Ukraine by depicting the subjective perspectives of Russian soldiers and the echoes of Putinist propaganda among them and other anonymous Russians.Spectral and penetrating, Intercepted interrogates the psychological underpinnings of the soldiers: whether they chose to be there, what they think about when they commit acts of violence, whether they know they are heading for death, or how they imagine they will resume their lives in the end.
