In his 80s, Alfred is a street philosopher who has loved women all his life, and one in particular whom he broke up with 18 years ago. Their daughter tries to reconcile them.
The film presents glimpses into the life of the author's father - a nonconformist, hedonistic and histrionic man who lives alone and talks relaxedly about his relationships with women, both on camera and in front of his grandchildren, including his relationship with Ruth, his great love, whom he divorced many years ago. Using family photographs and uncovering forgotten memories, the author portrays her parents, each from the other's perspective, and attempts to provoke a reconciliation. The reunion between the two goes naturally, a proof that all reproaches and grudges are somewhere in the past.
