A family that chooses to move from the city with their children to a forest on the border between Poland and Belarus, only to have their paradise disrupted by the plight of refugees abandoned in the same forest.
Asia and Marek live with their three children in a house in the middle of the Białowieża Forest on the eastern border of Poland. They strive to lead a peaceful life and raise their children in nature, but at night, unease sets in. From the darkness of the forest come voices and noises, echoing hidden tragedies. With a strong emotional charge but discreetly filtered through the routine of family life, the film intelligently and sensitively addresses one of the most severe humanitarian crises in Europe.
