The author's great-grandfather fought in World War II and is one of the last surviving veterans. At 96, he listens to the news on the radio and comments on another war.
In this auteur film, the director shows us fragments of the last years of the lives of his great-grandparents who live in a modest house somewhere in the countryside in the Republic of Moldova. Their generation, those who took an active part in the Great War, is disappearing, and the film is built around the great-grandfather's memories and stories of survival, with a visual documentary value, complemented by personal views on the news he listens to on the radio every day, current politics, the Russians and the war in Ukraine. As the seasons change, the documentary constantly creates a sense of history repeating itself.
