As war grips the city's streets, two children discover the underworld in a Kharkiv metro station, where they have taken refuge and live their daily lives with hundreds of other families.
While wandering aimlessly through abandoned train cars and platforms populated with refugees, Niki meets Vika, an 11-year-old girl, and the two begin to explore the underground space and innocently and creatively turn it into their playground. This hybrid documentary cleverly and unobtrusively combines observational moments with staging, managing to (re)create a playful, almost surreal world.
