Ana Blandiana, a symbol of resistance to the communist regime and the fight for democracy and freedom and one of the most important poets in our country , was rewarded last fall with one of the most important European poetry awards, the Princess of Asturias Award for Letters 2024, during a lavish ceremony presided over by the Royal Family of Spain.

Diana Nicolae, Romania , 2024, 97 min) is a biographical documentary about the life and career of poet Ana Blandiana, banned by the communist dictatorship . Considered " a true history reflected through poetry ", the film explores " the power of the word as a bastion of the collective soul of a nation in the face of oppression " and shows how poetry represented for many a last refuge of freedom.
