About the film
After film school in Poland, Mo still does not know how to build a life around filmmaking. Back in China, her independence clashes with family duty and superstition. Her parents see her breakup and cancer diagnosis as proof that the mole beneath her eye brings bad luck. Still filming as they argue, Mo uses raw scenes, voice-over and comic stop-motion to explore life between China and Europe, tradition and modern life—and find her own direction.
